If you're reading this, you're not alone; we all have too many videos and photos. We use things like external hard drives, Dropbox accounts, and thumb drives to contain the chaos. We need to plug in a drive, or open a cloud service, just to see a photo. Moreover, given the size of our libraries, images load slowly; search is slow; it’s just slow. It’s all annoying, almost laughable.
The thing is, we all love reminiscing, looking back at our memories and reliving our past, but to do so, we need to bring the number of videos and photos on our iPhones and computers down, way down; otherwise, slideshows and montages will never be good enough. They'll cycle through unimportant, unmoving images. That's why we felt compelled to build Backstory, to rediscover memories lost in our photo libraries.
